Management

As general counsel, Stephen Kaplan brings an extensive background in data security and privacy, diverse risk management, regulatory and government affairs, advertising and marketing law, transactional document preparation, and negotiation and mergers.

Previously, Mr. Kaplan was Assistant General Counsel for CompuCredit Corporation, where he performed due diligence on foreign and domestic acquisitions and negotiated a variety of large volume of contracts. He also served as Senior Attorney in Regulatory Compliance with Homeowners Loan Corp. / Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) and was General Counsel for D&D Aviation Services, Inc.

Mr. Kaplan served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Corporate Counsel, Georgia Chapter, and founded and chaired the Young Lawyers Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of Florida and earned a Juris Doctor Degree from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Ga.
